Southend Wargames Club

Big thanks to Tunbridge for Awarding the Club best demo game!

We were particularly pleased to get the award at "Skirmish" for Dave's sake. It was largely thanks to him, ably assisted by Roger and Andy, that the terrain we used contributed so strongly to the decision.

The game was the centre of plenty of attention and club members spent long periods explaining rules and discussing historical matters with members of the public and other gamers. The children who came to see us were particularly entranced by the inverted periscope we provided which gave them a "soldier's eye view" of the conflict.

We always enjoy the friendly atmosphere at "Skirmish" and hope to be back next year with something new to offer - thanks to everyone who voted for us and to the "Skirmish" orhanisers for a great day.
